Mother Wants Answers After Son Gunned Down in Fort Worth

The grief-stricken mother of a Fort Worth man gunned down outside his home Thursday is demanding answers from police as detectives work to solve three separate shootings that took place just hours apart.

"I want answers. I'm here waiting for answers about what happened," said Faye Carroll.

Carroll said her son, Andre, was shot and killed near the back door of his house on Millet Avenue at about 4 a.m. She believes he was trying to escape.

Andre's killer is still on the run and officers haven't identified any suspects.

Faye stood on the street for hours Thursday morning, waiting until her son's body was removed from the house and until detectives finished collecting evidence.

Faye said her son was a good boy and a good father to his 7-year-old daughter.

"I'll miss him so much. I'm going through so much right now. That's all I got to say," said Faye Carroll.

Earlier in the morning, Fort Worth police were investigating two other shootings that the department said are not related to each other.  In one case, a man's body was found in the courtyard of his apartment complex while, in another, a man was shot in the leg after he answered a knock at his door.

Police have made no arrests in any of the shootings.
