Utility officials say more than 32,000 homes and businesses in North Texas lost electricity during Tuesday's overnight storms.
By 3:30 p.m.., more than 2,100 were still without power in Dallas County, 874 were without service in Tarrant County and about 300 were without power in Collin County. Only a few hundred customers in Denton County are without power.
Crews continue working to restore power.
The rain is expected to taper off Wednesday morning, though a 10 percent chance of isolated storms remain through the afternoon. On Friday, a strong cold front is expected to arrive that will bring the possibility of more severe weather through the weekend.
