Monster Truck Stolen from Plano Parking Lot

The men who own three North Texas restaurants are baffled after their promotional monster truck was stolen early Friday from Plano.

Dallas Hale and Matt Saba said the truck, measuring 11-feet tall with 54-inch wheels, had been parked in front of their newest restaurant, the Shell Shack on Dallas Boulevard in Plano.

“I was on the tollway, and the first thing I did is picked up my phone and said, 'Dallas, please tell me you have the truck,' and he said he didn't have it,” said Saba.

“I was hoping he was joking and he wasn't,” said Hale.

The truck isn’t a form of transportation for the business owners. It is a billboard they park outside of their restaurants and use for charity events.

They recently have been parking the truck in front of the Plano Shell Shack, to draw attention to their new place while it is under construction.

It drew attention; just not the type they wanted.

“It is hard for me to believe. I am kind of in shock,” added Saba.

The bank next door has surveillance video of the parking lot, and they are cooperating with police.

Meanwhile the truck's owners say they just want their truck back and are are offering a $5,000 reward, no questions asked.

“I don't care where it comes to. I don't care if somebody brings it up and we will hand them the money. Go on your merry way,” said Hale.
