Missing Boy Found After Long Walk Home

Child found unharmed by police

A young boy distraught over a bad grade led to a report of a missing child in Arlington.

According to police, 10-year-old Exance Esao disappeared after school Tuesday and was reported missing at about 9:30 p.m.

Arlington police officers began searching for the boy while Tweeting information about his disappearance on their Twitter feed @ArlingtonPD.

Officers then reported finding the boy walking toward his home at about midnight.

The elementary school student told police officers that he didn't go home after school because he received a bad grade on an assignment.  He also said he was only headed home at that time because he'd gotten cold.

Police said the boy was uninjured and was returned to his parents.
