A Mansfield couple was killed in a head-on crash Monday in eastern New Mexico.
The couple was identified as John Kline, 53, and his wife Aminta Kline, 61, both of Mansfield. John Kline's mother, Bess Kline, was also killed in the crash.
Authorities said the couple collided with a pick-up truck. The Kline’s were believed to be on their way to surprise John’s brother in Arizona.
Neighbors in the Kline’s Mansfield neighborhood were heartbroken to hear about their death.
“It gives me a stomach ache, it makes me feel very sad and I just cannot believe it,” said neighbor, Yeni Abad.
“I’m looking at her house and seeing it's all dark, I am literally in shock,” she said.
Abad said Aminta was a stay-at-home grandmother who was always taking care of her granddaughters.
