Man Who Set Childhood Home on Fire Sentenced to 20 Years in Prison

A Fort Worth man who set his childhood home on fire was sentenced to 20 years in prison.

The fire happened on Dec. 19, 2012 at a home in the 7600 block of Osbun Street.

Fort Worth fire investigators say they suspected 62-year-old Jeffrey Pruett set the fire and a warrant was issued for his arrest but because he's homeless he couldn't be located for several weeks.

Last week members of the Fort Worth Fire Department were called to testify in Pruett's trial.

Jurors deliberated less than 30 minutes before convicting Pruett of arson. They later sentenced him to 20 years in prison.
