Man Who Admitted Killing 2 Stepsons Being Paroled

A Central Texas man who admitted last week to killing his two stepsons in a 1986 fire appears headed for a halfway house.

The Waco Tribune-Herald reports 62-year-old Edward Graf Jr. has been quietly moved from the Huntsville prison and was being taken Wednesday to a halfway house in El Paso.

Graf's anticipated parole Monday from Huntsville was delayed by the absence of some paperwork.

Texas Department of Criminal Justice officials have declined to discuss his status. One of his lawyers, Michelle Tuegel, says she's not certain of Graf's whereabouts.

Graf pleaded guilty in Waco as jurors deliberated at a retrial after his original conviction was overturned. The plea deal includes a 60-year sentence but counts 28 years he already served. That made him immediately eligible for parole.
