Man Wanted in North Texas Robbery Spree: Police

Police believe the same man is responsible for a total of five robberies: one in Carrollton and four in Grand Prairie.

The string of heists started in early April and continued through May.

In the Carrollton attack, the police said the robber flashed a gun, even as customers walked in behind him.

In surveillance video of the robbery, the man is seen walking in calmly. He then throws a snack on the counter, and it appears he's reaching for a wallet but instead pulls out a gun. The cashier, visibly frightened, jumps back.

"He's armed and he's threatening these clerks with a gun, a small gun, black semi-automatic weapon," said Jolene DeVito, with Carrollton Police.

Two customers even walked in behind the bandit, with one headed to the bathroom. The suspect is then seen instructing the cashier to open the register. Next, he picks money from the register and runs out.

"We want to catch him. Obviously we want to stop him before he does take anymore of a violent turn," said DeVito.

The man was not wearing a mask, and in all the robberies he's been wearing a baseball cap, police said. He has even worn the same red and black jacket in a couple of the crimes.

Police in various agencies are working together to figure out if the man is behind any crimes in other North Texas cities.

Anyone with information about the man wanted by police should call the Carrollton Police Department at 972-466-3329 or call their local police department.
