Man, Woman Stabbed at Dallas Assisted Living Center

Police said a man were stabbed during altercation at a Dallas assisted living center early Wednesday morning.

Dallas police said they were dispatched to the Roseland Gardens Apartments in the 2200 block of North Washington Avenue at 1:07 a.m. and found two people who had been stabbed.

Investigators said the woman said she and the man had began arguing about an issue that happened in their past when the man became violent and assaulted the woman. The woman then grabbed a knife and stabbed the man.

Police said the woman tried to run, but the man grabbed her and prevented her from leaving. While in the hallway, a relative of the man saw the altercation and stabbed the woman in the back.

The woman suffered a stab wound and bruises on her face and arms, according to police. She and the man were transported to a hospital for treatment.

Aggravated fssault charges are pending.
