Man Sentenced for Sexually Assaulting Girl, Daughter

A jury has sentenced a 36-year-old from South Texas to life in prison for sexually assaulting a 12-year-old girl in 1996 and then her daughter years later.

The Houston Chronicle reported that the Conroe man was found guilty of two felony offenses of continuous sexual abuse and aggravated sexual assault of a child.

He's been sentenced with no possibility of parole.

Investigators said the man met the first victim when she was 12 and had a 3-month-old daughter. He continued the relationship with her for 16 years, eventually getting her pregnant with a son.

Authorities said when the victim's daughter turned 8 years old, the man raped her over the course of the next seven years and impregnated her.

The Associated Press typically does not name victims of sexual assault.
