City officials said a man walked into Watauga City Hall Thursday afternoon and shot himself.[[347195952,C]]
The unidentified man entered the lobby at about 3:45 p.m., pulled out a gun and committed suicide, according to Bradley Fraley, public information officer with the city of Watauga.
No one else was injured.
The building, located in the 7000 block of Whitley Road, has been secured by Watauga police. City Hall will be closed the rest of Thursday and closed Friday, police said.
The man's identity and motive are unknown.
