Man Killed by Fort Worth Officer Never Fired

Fort Worth police say a forensics analysis determined a man who was shot and killed during a chase with officers never fired his weapon.

While officers were chasing the man Tuesday, the man turned and pointed his weapon at the officers, but he never fired, police now say.

One officer, fearing for his life, shot and killed the man, according to police.

The man was being pursued in connection with a bank robbery in the city earlier in the day.

The man's identity has not yet been revealed.  The search for a woman who was with the man during the chase is ongoing.
