Grapevine police say a man died after he was ejected from his car in a crash along state Highway 114 overnight Thursday.
The crash took place near state Highway 121 when the driver of a Ford Mustang hit a concrete construction barrier and was thrown from his car as it flipped over.
After coming to a stop, the vehicle caught fire. Grapevine firefighters put out the fire and found the man, whose name has not yet been released, dead.
The vehicle was mangled and almost unrecognizable. The engine block had been thrown onto the shoulder of the road about 20 yards away.
No one else was involved in the crash, police said.
The crash closed several lanes of the road for a few hours Friday morning as crews cleared the scene.
