Man Gets Life for 2009 Fort Worth Robbery

Bell is charged with capital murder in the July 11, 2009 robbery and attack

A North Texas man accused of killing two people outside a bar has been sentenced to life in prison for an unrelated earlier armed robbery.

Investigators say 22-year-old Robert Earl Bell Jr. of Fort Worth was convicted last week in a July 3, 2009, attack. Christopher Richardson survived being shot outside a Fort Worth apartment complex.

The Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports jurors deliberated about 45 minutes Monday before giving Bell the maximum prison term.

Bell is charged with capital murder in the July 11, 2009, robbery and shooting deaths of two men outside a lounge in Arlington. Records show Bell was on parole from the juvenile system at the time of the crimes.
