Man Found and Arrested in Michigan for Domestic Shooting in Texas

Law enforcement arrested Herbert Johnson on Thursday for shooting a man who has been in a relationship with his x-girlfriend, says Arlington police in a news release.

On Monday  March 10, 2014 Arlington police arrived at the 3200 block of W. Division Street. They found a man wounded and a woman who didn't suffer from any injuries. The injured man was transported to John Peter Smith Hospital were he is expected to recover, said APD.

Detectives were told that a man identified as Johnson fired a shot at the man while he and a woman exited a car. Police say witnesses were able to provide valuable information that led to the extensive search for Johnson.

The Arlington Police Department Fugitive Unit discovered shortly after that Johnson had left the state and traveled to Saginaw, Michigan, were he and his family are from. The U.S. Marshals North Texas Fugitive Task Force contacted the Detroit Fugitive Apprehension Unit-North who then made a traffic stop in Saginaw that led to his arrest.
