Man Arrested in Fatal Shooting of Two Women in Willow Park

A Weatherford man has been arrested in connection to the deadly shooting of two women outside of a bank branch. The suspect is a manager in the psychiatric division of JPS Health Systems.

Willow Park police were called at about 6:45 p.m. Saturday to the First Financial Bank along Interstate 20. Officers found two women dead on the scene, each with a single gunshot wound, according to Willow Park Police Chief Carrie West.

Chief West said a passerby had found the bodies of 21-year-old Krista McLellan and 23-year-old Ashley Pohorence.

West said Christopher Wall, 33, of Weatherford was arrested Sunday in connection with the deaths. Wall has been charged with capital murder of multiple persons, according to Parker County jail records. His bond has not been set.

A third woman was with the victims but escaped. She told police they met with Wall that night as part of an extortion plot.

She said Wall had previously contacted them on the social media app Backpage. The woman told police they went to his workplace to give him a massage then convinced him they had recorded him soliciting sex. She said he paid them roughly $8,000 to keep quiet.

The woman said they'd gone back to ask for more money Saturday night, when Wall started firing.

"These ladies, however they came upon Mr. Wall, however the transaction happened, whatever their reasons for meeting him, they're still somebody's daughter and they're still potentially somebody's sister," Chief West said.

A spokesperson for JPS Health says Wall is on unpaid leave while the investigation is ongoing. He was director of behavioral health administration and was originally hired back in 2007 as a nurse in adolescent psychiatry.

Willow Park police are being assisted in the case by Hudson Oaks Police, Parker County Sheriff's Office and the Texas Rangers.
