Malls Report Brisk Business on Christmas Eve

Last big shopping day before Christmas brings crowds out to malls

The Christmas shopping season wound down Wednesday night with North Texas malls reporting brisk business.

Some last minute buyers said they did not have time before the holiday to shop for family and friends.

Other shoppers say they always wait until the last day to do all of their shopping because that is when they can find the best deals.

Bargain hunters were in luck, some finding prices slashed up to 70% on some items as retailers look to boost their bottom line.

Some local Walgreens, CVS and 7-11's that planned to stay open on Christmas day were reporting solid sales

The second shopping season kicks off early Friday as post Christmas sales kick into full gear.
