The men Dallas police believe were in a stolen van that crashed into a mother and son, killing the teenager, have waived extradition.

Dagoberto Castañon and Rogelio Avila were arrested Friday in Lee County, Fla., and are currently in jail.

The Lee County Sheriff said transportation arrangements are being made, though it may be weeks before the pair are brought back to Dallas.

Avila and Castañon face murder charges in the April 15 crash that killed 13-year-old Ethan Vasquez and injured his mother Sandy, who was discharged from the hospital on April 23.

A memorial for Ethan is scheduled for Wednesday at Grove Hill Funeral Home.

His funeral is set for Thursday at Lakeside Baptist Church.
