After a trailer had a blowout in Bruceville-Eddy, a watusi cow got out and made its way into downtown. (Published Thursday, Aug. 20, 2015)

It's a site many Texans may be use to seeing, maybe not in the middle of a busy town.

After a trailer had a blowout in Bruceville-Eddy, a Watusi cow got out and made its way into downtown.

The animal was one of 13 in a trailer headed for San Antonio Tuesday afternoon.

The cow ran from police for about five to six blocks before they could corral it in the backyard of a nearby home.

So what do you do when a cow is on the loose? Call a cowboy, of course. He helped get it back on the trailer so they could continue on their trip San Antonio.

A Watusi is a breed of cattle that's native to Africa. The female cows can weigh up to 1,200 pounds while the male bulls can reach 1,600 pounds.
