Lipan Coach Charged With Improper Relationship

A teacher and varsity baseball coach at Lipan High School was arrested Tuesday and charged with sexual assault of a child and with having an improper relationship with a student, the Stephenville Empire-Tribune reports.

Tyson Nolen, 25, was arrested after being questioned at the school by Hood County investigators about a relationship with a 16-year-old student at the school.

Both charges are second-degree felonies.

Officials said Wednesday that another victim has come forward and that more charges are likely.

Dr. Cindy Edwards told the paper that Nolen is on leave while the investigation is under way.
