On Saturday at about 3:40 a.m., officers were called to the CVS at 100 West Corporate Drive on a report of an attempted robbery.

Surveillance video from the 24 hour pharmacy shows a green van back up to the front door and three men enter wearing all black clothes with bandannas over their faces.

The video then shows one of the men wrap a chain around the ATM to the left of the entrance with the other side attached to the van and. Once secured, the driver of the van tries twice to take off and pull out the machine. The first attempt appears to break the store door and part of the ATM, while the second one just broke the chain.

During the attempt, another one of the men took a cell phone from an employee inside and threw it against a wall, Lewisville Police Captain Dan Rochelle said.

After the chain broke, the three men got back in the van and took off as an employee chased them out.

Police found the van a short time later at an apartment complex and Rochelle said they are analyzing it for evidence that may lead them to the men, but they’d like any help they can get.
