Parents of Dallas school children can save money at the Mayor's 18th Annual Back to School Fair. Today, July 30, is the last day to pre-register for the event.
The fair is free and open to the public, but pre-registration guarantees free school supplies at the fair.
Free school supplies are made available to families with school-aged children who reside in the City of Dallas or attend Dallas Independent School District schools and who meet eligibility requirements.
Parents can sign up between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. Wednesday afternoon at the H&R Block location at 655 West Illinois Avenue.
The fair is held Aug. 1 at Fair Park's Automobile and Centennial Building from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
"The Mayor's Back to School Fair is a collaborative effort between the City of Dallas, Dallas area schools, public health departments, state agencies, non-profit organizations, corporations and hundreds of volunteers," according to a statement on their website.
