A man is dead following an officer-involved shooting in Plano Wednesday morning.
Police found a man displaying a knife at a home at Millstream Drive and Parkview Lane after receiving a domestic disturbance call shortly after 8 a.m.
A Plano police sergeant shot the man.
Both men were taken to a hospital. The knife-wielding man’s wife was also treated for injuries that occurred before police arrived.
The knife-wielding man died later in the morning.
The Plano Police sergeant involved in the incident is a 22-year veteran with the Plano Police Department.
The officer will be placed on administrative leave with pay while the incident is investigated.
