Keller ISD Student Injured in Fall from Moving Vehicle

Timber Creek High School students are taking to social media to show their support for a classmate who was seriously injured late Tuesday afternoon.

Witnesses said 18-year old Ian Capps fell out of a moving pickup truck on a road adjacent to Timber Creek's baseball field. Capps, a member of the school's baseball team, had been sitting on the tailgate of the pickup truck.

"It happened so fast," said Timber Creek baseball player Jeffrey Worley. "They always joke around, so I thought they were playing at first. He we was bleeding and we called 911."

"Some of the team got our coaches. We had to use a towel for the back of his head," Worley said.

Capps was airlifted to Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital in Fort Worth for treatment of his injuries.

His friends said Tuesday night he's coherent and talking.

On Twitter, friends offered messages of support with #PrayForIan attached to their posts.
