Hutchison to Announce Campaign, Again

Kay Bailey Hutchison will be kicking off her run for governor with a series of “announcement rallies” in 14 cities around Texas to build support for her campaign for governor.

Dallas will receive a visit from her this Tuesday at Eddie Deen’s Ranch. The event is free, open to the public and will include family-friendly activities such as pickup basketball and music.

Fresh from voting against the Cash for Clunkers program, as well as the confirmation of Sonya Sotomayor, and posting an article on her campaign Web site that calls her rival Rick Perry’s states’ rights efforts a “political ploy.

She also told about 200 people in Horseshoe Bay Thursday afternoon that, “15 years is too long to be governor.”

With 14 rallies coming up in five days, one wonders, are they going to be writing a new speech for every single one?
