Irving Building Evacuated Due to Bomb Threat

An Irving building was evacuated Thursday morning due to a bomb threat.

According to the Irving Police Department, a receptionist inside a 10-story building on the 5600 block of High Point Drive received a phone call where the caller said a bomb had been placed in the building and that they had one hour to evacuate.

The Irving Fire Department arrived and made the decision to evacuate the building as a precaution, police said.

Shortly after 10:30 a.m., employees who had been evacuated to the parking lot were allowed to return to the building.

At this time, police have not revealed any further information.
