The truck driver lost control and hit the overhead highway signs before crashing on eastbound I-20 at U.S. 175 at about 2 a.m., according to authorities.

After inspection, authorities said they decided to take down the highway signs that the big rig hit. Dallas County Sheriff's Department officials said the interstate would likely be blocked all day.

As of 1:30 p.m. all but one lane of eastbound I-20 had reopened. Temporary signs were in place to alert drivers to upcoming exits.

The driver was transported to a nearby hospital. His condition is not yet known, but he is stable. [[299666181,C]]
