Chowing down for patriotic bragging rights is what a handful of locals did as they tried to win Curly’s Frozen Custard hot dog eating contest in Fort Worth Wednesday night.
The contestants had to slam down four hot dogs, including the buns, the quickest.
The winning time went to Chris Sisco who wolfed them down in just over two minutes.
“I didn’t chew much. I swallowed a lot of chunks -- feeling it,” said Sisco.
This is the second year in-a-row the restaurant has held the competition. Sisco won last year as well so he can now call himself undefeated.
He walked with four tickets to a Rangers game that will put him right by the dugout. He also got two vouchers for, what else, a pair of the new $26, 1-pound, 2-foot-long “Boomstick” hot dogs offered at Rangers Ballpark.
