The unsuccessful attempted theft of six chicken nuggets has a 22-year-old homeless man behind bars and held on $3,500 bail.
Marquis Marsh walked into the Wendy's restaurant on the 6000 block of Greenville Avenue at about 9:30 p.m. Monday, jumped the counter and grabbed six nuggets, DallasNews.com reports. While trying to flee, he jumped back over the counter and knocked over the cash register.
The store manager tried to stop Marsh, who dropped the nuggets and punched him several times in the head, the paper said.
Marsh ran out of the store and made it a couple of blocks before Dallas police officers spotted him and arrested him after a short foot chase.
Marsh was transferred to the Dallas County Jail where he is being held on $3,500 bail, the paper reports.
The store manager was not seriously injured.
