High-Speed Chase Through Two Counties Ends in Dallas

No one was seriously injured

A high-speed chase that started in Ennis ended in Dallas Wednesday night.

Police say they were investigating a shoplifting charge at a Wal-Mart when the driver sped off in his vehicle.

A woman and three children were inside the vehicle during the chase.

Officers from Ennis police, Dallas County Sheriff's Department and State Troopers were involved in trying to stop the driver.

The driver sped through two counties; the chase lasted nearly an hour and ended at US Highway 175 when the driver exited at Jim Miller Road.

No one was seriously injured.

The name of the driver has not been released. He is currently in police custody.

The driver faces several felonies including causing three crashes, evading police and three counts of child endangerment.

The children are now in the custody of Child Protective Services.
