Heartland Flyer Collides with Car

Amtrak's Heartland Flyer has collided with a vehicle in southern Oklahoma near the Texas border.

Amtrak spokesman Marc Magliari says the train hit the vehicle near Thackerville about 11:15 a.m. Thursday on its route from Oklahoma City to Fort Worth, Texas.

Thackerville is about five miles north of the Oklahoma-Texas border and is home to WinStar World Casino.

Magliari says no injuries were reported. He says the train was carrying about 90 people and its scheduled 12:39 p.m. arrival in Fort Worth will be delayed by about one hour.

He says the delay is not expected to delay the return trip to Oklahoma City later Thursday.
