Grand Prairie Officer Involved in Crash

A Grand Prairie police officer was involved in a crash late Thursday while responding to call.

The officer was headed to call and was driving eastbound on Six Flags Drive toward 105th Street when another driver failed to yield the right of way and turned in front of the officer.

The squad cars collided with the front, right part of the other car, sending it spinning 180 degrees.

The officer was not running lights and a siren at the time, officials said.

Both drivers appeared to be shaken after the crash, but neither were injured or transported to the hospital.
