Management of a posh downtown Austin hotel has decided to replace about 1,000 glass balcony faces on the hotel's 37 floors.
The management of the W Austin Hotel announced the decision in a statement after glass panels fell from the 31st, 29th and 22nd floors of the hotel, damaging cars but causing no other injuries.
Five cars parked on the streets surrounding the hotel were damaged.
The management statement also said a covered walkway would be installed on the sidewalks around the hotel.
Two panels fell more than 20 stories in the hotel pool area on June 10, causing minor injuries to four people.
