A Garland Independent School District teacher is in custody after being charged with transporting and shipping child pornography and possession of prepubescent child pornography.
Kirk Patrick Keshler, 60, taught special needs children at Garland High School and was being investigated by Garland police for sharing child pornography on a peer-to-peer file-sharing network since early July.
On Aug. 16, that police served a warrant at his Dallas County home where he lived since 2002.
According to the FBI complaint, Keshler had hundreds of sexually explicit files involving children on his laptop. FBI also found a "nude, realistic, child-like doll" with a wig covering its face and several girl’s panties in different sizes.
Keshler was denied bail and now awaits his trial.
Garland ISD said he is no longer an employee.
