A Galveston County deputy will head to North Texas to face charges he sexually assaulted a child in Grand Prairie.
Deputy Miguel Zapata was arrested yesterday at the Galveston County jail where he works.
He is currently being held there but should be transferred to the Dallas County jail in the next few days.
Police have not released any details about the suspected assault.
