Friends, Family Remember Lightfoot

Friends, family hope for leads in case

Friends and family of Elizabeth Lightfoot are hoping to get leads on the person responsible for her murder.

On Sunday evening, her friends hosted a fundraiser at Firefly in Addison to try to keep her name in the public's eye in hopes someone will come forward with information.

Earlier this month, Lightfoot was found dead inside a burnt car. Police believe her car was set on fire while she was in it alive.

"She was so bubbly, full of life," a close friend, Ken Moore, said. Her loss is a reality Moore says he is just starting to cope with.

The money raised will go to Lightfoot's family, who have set up a scholarship fund in her honor.

Donations may be made to the Elizabeth Lightfoot Memorial Scholarship Fund at the Northstar Bank (422 Mimosa Drive) in Denton.
