    Brandon Gonzales, center, was arrested in connection to the deadly shooting in Greenville Oct. 26. He was released from jail Nov. 5, but has since moved away from the town in which he grew up.

    Brandon Gonzales moved halfway across the country last weekend, leaving behind his three young children, his girlfriend and the town he grew up in. He hopes the distance will let him escape the unwanted notoriety he experienced after authorities mistakenly accused him of killing two party-goers in a shooting outside Greenville last month.

    Gonzales, 23, said he just wants to work. But when he went to an interview Monday for a job at a warehouse in Florida, he said the interviewer told him: Let’s wait a year to let this settle down.

    He was crushed.

    “I mean, who can wait a year without a job?” Gonzales said in his first extensive interview since his release from the Hunt County jail.

    A school officer and a student were injured at Wisoonsin's Oshkosh West High School Tuesday morning, when the student was shot after attempting to stab the office with a sharp object. The shooting comes just one day after a school resource officer at Waukesha South High School shot a 17-year-old armed student who refused to drop his weapon.
