She is the star of shapewear, redefining what we wear under our clothes.
A big day for Sarah Blakely, the creator of Spanx.
"It is a pinch me moment to be opening a store in Dallas. My first Texas Spanx store," said Blakely.
She opened to a huge crowd who rushed into the small store filled with bras, shapewear and workout clothes. There is merchandise for men, too.
The store was busy all morning long, but a big draw for some buyers was a chance to meet Blakely. 14-years-ago, when she started the company, she brought her prototype to sell in Dallas.
Now, she has come full circle with the the store that opened today in Northpark Center.
"I have so much gratitude for being a woman in America and I know that I was born in the right place at the right time, and i want to be able to pay that forward," she added.
