Three men were caught on camera Sunday robbing a clerk in the presence of her children at the QMart Convenience store in the 2100 block of Ridgemar Boulevard.
The store's owner Shabnam Naz and her three children were alone when the armed men rushed inside the store at about 7:30 p.m.
"They were scary," Naz said. "They looked like they would shoot us or something. My kids are frightened."
The surveillance video shows two men wearing bandanas enter the store, with one of them brandishing a gun. A third man waited outside.
"They told me they're going to shoot me (and to) open the safe," Naz said. "But I really don't have a key and I told them, 'I cannot open the safe.'"
Naz said she was most concerned about her 2-year-old daughter, Annie.
"She usually hugs everybody when they come in the store, and that scared me that she would hug him or do something wrong. He might shoot us or something," she said.
While Naz said she was scared for her children, she appeared to remain calm in the surveillance video. At one point she hands one robber a $5 bill he had dropped. The two men ransacked the cash register, taking cash and some checks before they ran out.
Fort Worth police said they believe the three men may be responsible for nearly half a dozen take-over style robberies in the last month, which include two Waffle House robberies.
"Fortunately, right now, no one has gotten injured," said Lt. Paul Henderson.
