Fort Worth Motorcycle Officer Escapes Injury in Crash

A Fort Worth police motorcycle officer escaped injury Wednesday afternoon after a minor crash.

The officer was pulling over a motorist near Interstate 30 and Bridgewood when the driver stopped suddenly on the shoulder, causing the officer to rear-end the vehicle.

The motorist said he claimed he braked suddenly due to debris on the shoulder.

The officer suffered no major injuries but was shaken and transported to an area hospital to be checked out.  The motorist had no injuries.

An Arlington motorcycle officer was killed earlier in the morning when he collided with a school bus during a routine traffic stop.
