Fort Worth Man Wins 1 Million in Mega Millions Lottery

A North Texas man has won a $1 million prize in the Mega Millions lottery.

John C. Brackett of Fort Worth won the second-tier prize in the May 12 drawing after purchasing a quick pick ticket from the Cooks Shell Mart located at 1401 Cooks Lane, Fort Worth.

Brackett's ticket matched all five numbers drawn (14-30-33-36-44), but not the Mega Ball (2).

Brackett has not commented on his win and has requested minimal publicity.

Mega Millions is played by picking five different numbers from one to 75 and one number from one to 15. To win the Mega Millions jackpot, players must match all six numbers drawn including the Mega Ball.
