Homicide detectives are investigating the death of a 32-year-old man who was fatally shot while sitting in his vehicle Tuesday morning.[[344564102,R]]
At about 2:50 a.m. officers responded to a call about gunfire on the 4300 block of Village Creek Road. Upon arrival, officers spotted the injured man in the car.
The gun shot victim — later identified as Chester Johnson — was taken to John Peter Smith Hospital by Medstar, where he was pronounced dead.
A motive has not yet been determined. The investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
