Former President George W. Bush Kicks off 7th Wounded Warrior Ride

Former President George W. Bush kicked off his 7th W100K, a mountain bike ride for wounded warriors at his Central Texas ranch on Saturday.

For many wounded warriors in North Texas, the struggle to rebuild and replace what was lost on the battlefield can be a painfully long fight. The frontlines of that struggle to redefine what their bodies are capable of is now happening at a gym like no other that is in Dallas.

The W100K, part of the Bush Institute's Military Service Initiative, showcases the courage, commitment, and resilience of the warriors and underscores the importance of sports as part of the rehabilitation process for men and women injured on the front lines.

The event features 52 tears and 43 alumni who have previously rode in the W100K.
