A former Keller Independent School District teacher who was arrested and accused of having an improper relationship with a student in 2012 was no billed by a Tarrant County grand jury later that year.
The grand jury did not find enough evidence present to indict 34-year-old Chad Eric Bearden on an allegation that he had two separate sexual encounters with a 17-year-old Keller Central High School student at his Haltom City apartment and dropped the charges.
According to police, the girl told her parents about the alleged encounters, who then informed the Keller ISD who notified the Haltom City Police Department.
Bearden, who surrendered to police after the accusation was made, was an employee at Hillwood Middle School in Keller when the offenses occurred. Keller ISD officials said he resigned prior to his arrest.
