Live Next to President Bush for $135 Million

Ex-Rangers owner expects $135M for estate on sale

Former Texas Rangers owner Tom Hicks is offering the chance to live in one of Dallas' biggest estates and become a neighbor of former President George W. Bush.

But it could cost you more than $100 million.

The Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports that Hicks is putting his 25-acre estate on the market. Real estate agent Douglas Newby said he expects the estate to get as much as $135 million.

Hicks was the onetime owner of the Rangers, Dallas Stars and Liverpool soccer club before running into financial problems.

Newby said Hicks only wants to downsize because the last of his six children is gone to college.

The estate comes with a 29,000-square-foot main house and 7,200-square-foot pool house. It also adjoins Bush's home.
