Town leaders in Flower Mound won't allow two proposed gas well sites in the growing suburb.
After a seven hour meeting that lasted until 1:40 a.m., the Flower Mound gas board denied two permits that would have allowed a well in a residential area, and one near Lake Grapevine.
Residents packed the meeting room, telling town leaders they were concerned about the health effects of drilling.
Many residents also were worried about heavy truck traffic to the drilling area.
