Seven Injured After Five Vehicles Crash Under Dallas Bridge

Seven people who were hurt in a traffic accident involving a Dallas Area Rapid Transit bus and four other vehicles during freezing weather have been released from area hospitals.

DART officials said five vehicles crashed on Interstate 35 underneath the Eighth Street bridge after a red Dodge Caravan cut off the bus and then hit the barrier wall.

DART spokesman Mark Ball says four people on the bus and three from the van were injured. All were transported to hospitals.

Ball says all seven individuals were released just before noon on Monday.

Rush hour traffic headed into downtown Dallas was backed up for hours due to the crashes.
