    Firefighters Battle South Dallas House Fire

    Dallas Fire-Rescue firefighters were called to a home in the Cedar Crest neighborhood of south Dallas Thursday afternoon after a fire broke out. (Published Thursday, Aug. 3, 2017)

    Dallas Fire-Rescue firefighters were called to a home in the Cedar Crest neighborhood of south Dallas Thursday afternoon after a fire broke out.

    The fire was reported at about 2:15 p.m. at a home on the 1700 block of East Waco Avenue, near South Corinth Street and Morrell Avenue.

    When Chopper 5 arrived on the scene at about 2:40 p.m., the fire appeared to be out with only wisps of white smoke coming from a hole that had been cut in the roof.

    Firefighters later confirmed no one was injured in the fire.

    The cause of the fire has not yet been revealed.
