Six families were displaced early Wednesday when a three-alarm blaze raced through the Vineyard Apartments on the west side of Irving.
The fire was reported at 3:25 a.m. in the 4100 block of Pleasant Run Road, in a neighborhood about a mile east of D/FW Airport.
Firefighters had the blaze under control by 4:13 a.m.
There were no injuries, but the fire damaged 8 apartments.
The Red Cross is helping families displaced by the fire.
