Fire Rips Through Irving Home

Children sleeping, husband in the shower when fire breaks out

A two-alarm fire ripped through an Irving home early Friday morning.

According to the family, the mother was watching TV when she heard a loud banging noise at the back of the house on the 400-block of W. 12th Street.

With her husband in the shower the woman went to investigate and that's when she spotted the fire.

The woman, her husband and two children, who were asleep at the time, all made it out of the home without injury.

By 9:30 a.m., the Irving Fire Department had extinguished the blaze.

Fire investigators are working to determine the cause of the fire.
